The story of Borsalino began in 1857 when Giuseppe Borsalino set up the first artisan workshop for the production of felt hats.

Giuseppe Borsalino became one of the most important Italian industrialists of the 20th century.

When he died in 1900, the Borsalino factory employed almost 1000 workers and produced 1,000,000 hats per year.

The Borsalino family continued the business and by 1913 employed 2500 workers and produced 2,000,000 hats annually.

Borsalino hats reached every corner of the world and the Borsalino trademark became part of fashion history.
