4) Your hat is stretched over the appropriate wooden block and tied down with a special cord and knot. It is then ready for the blocking process.

5) The Crown Iron irons the hat body from wet to dry putting the "block" or "body" in the hat.

6) The Plate Machine does the same thing to the brim.
